description. The aim of this project was to explore the possibilities of natural light in relation to the exhibition of an artwork. I had to design a single ideal space to contain and display a piece of artwork, with various imaginary views, drawn in chiaroscuro, of the light effects of the interior that you ideally wish to achieve. I then had to make a working model of the space at the same scale as the artwork Marquette, ensuring the space was light proof using a non-translucent material to form the model. The model had to have a decided orientation (that is, a fixed North, South etc.), a 2m x1m scaled opening opposite to the artwork (to act as viewing and photographic opening), and attempted to recreate the light effects I had drawn in chiaroscuro.
