description. For my Renaissance to Neoclassicism module I had to write a 2500 illustrated essay on a building in London, chosen from a pre-selected list. As part of the analysis of the building, I was required to investigate the stylistic models and precedents in Continental Europe where appropriate, the possible relations to theory and treatises, structural and constructional aspects, and key details as bearings on the aesthetics of the building.
