part i architectural assistant projects
p&t architects & engineers . hong kong // october 2019 - june 2021.
I worked as a Year-out Architectural Assistant (the equivalent of a Part One Architectural Assistant in Hong Kong firms) at P&T Architects and Engineers (originally called Palm and Turner). I worked on a variety of project types at different stages in the design/construction process, initially, I worked on interior architecture projects, but later on was put to work on large-scale architectural projects. In the first three months, my focus was mainly toward the conceptual development and drawings for a shopping mall and public interchange hub. During the first three months, I also aided in drawing up the various schedule of accommodation schemes for a proposed elderly care home & daycare and/or a child daycare centre. In the past three months, I have worked on some labelling for tender drawings for two separate projects (a medical centre and a lobby for a high-rise residential project); aided in defect recording while visiting a site for a different high-rise residential project (this time in the clubhouse area); brainstorming and drafting ideas for a canopy structure at the amenity level of a high-rise residential project; drafting and helping in the development of the massing of a luxury high-rise residential project.
