description.

This module aimed to introduce us to the “broad range of issues and challenges facing practicing architects in the UK and internationally”. Of which, has been specified to include “the concept of professionalism, the role of architects in relation to their clients and other professionals and stakeholders, the legal system as it applies to business generally and construction more specifically, business management, development and marketing, the planning and development control system, building regulations, construction cost management, tender procedures and building procurement.” In order to do this we had to base our report on our Stage 3 Architectural design project (that is, the Margate Circus Arts School), which was treated as if it were a ‘real life’ case study.
